In 1950, Tama Keiki Co., Ltd. was founded and began manufacturing wristwatches. The following year, in 1951, the company changed its name to Orient Watch Co., Ltd., and Orient Star, inspired by the image of a shining star, was born. Since then, it has continued to attract many watch fans as a full-fledged mechanical watch brand. In 2017, it merged with Seiko Epson Corporation, with which it had cooperated for over 20 years to promote its business. A new era of mechanical watches has begun, while keeping the Orient Star brand and sincere attitude towards watchmaking. Comptoine is an authorized dealer of Orient Star.
