Founded in 2016, CIGA Design is based on the idea that design is a fusion of perception and reason, without being bound by preconceived notions. It pursues original and innovative designs by redefining watches for consumers who seek to pave the way for a new era.
Bringing together an international team of designers, CIGA Design was born with the aim of leading a global approach to watchmaking. In the past 8 years, CIGA Design has been awarded over 100 patents and 17 international design awards.
In 2021, CIGA Design was recognized as one of the top three watch/jewelry brands at Germany's iF2017-2021, along with Apple and BVLGARI. In November of the same year, CIGA Design Blue Planet won the 2021 GPHG Challenge Watch Prize, beating out a number of Swiss luxury watch brands. In 2022, Blue Planet became the first watch to be collected by the Museum of Art and History (Geneva). Comptoine is the only CIGA Design street-front store in Tokyo. Please feel free to visit us.
CIGA Design
CIGA Design has been nominated for the GPHG Challenge Watch Award for its single pointer series "EARTH". In 2021, CIGA Design was one of the finalists among 84 brands nominated by the GPHG Academy, and competed for 14 awards with other famous brands to win the Challenge Watch Award. This watch, equipped with an automatic movement that allows you to read the time even without hour and minute hands, was recognized for its unique brand philosophy by reinterpreting the traditional understanding of escapements, and for raising awareness of "protecting the blue earth" from a humanistic perspective.
