AiRAiN Eiren
AiRain, along with Breguet and Dodane, was one of the selected suppliers of Type 20 models for the French military. Type 20 refers to the specifications of pilot chronographs issued by the French Ministry of Defense. AiRain Watches was founded in 1934 by Raymond Dodane, the third generation of the Dodane family, a family of watchmakers. From the 1950s to the 1960s, AiRain was one of the selected suppliers, along with Breguet and Dodane, to make watches for the French Army, especially helicopter pilots, called “Type 20” (the specifications of pilot chronographs issued by the French Ministry of Defense). At that time, AiRain Watches passed the rigorous examination required for Type 20 and gained a reputation throughout the world as reliable, high-quality watches. After a hiatus of several decades, the brand was revived by producing small limited quantities while faithfully adhering to the design of the time, and now its rarity and excellent quality have captivated watch collectors around the world.
