CZAPEK Antarctic polishing techniques explained in three photos

When talking about the CZAPEK Antarctic, the micro-rotor "SXH5" immediately comes to mind, but this time we will be focusing on the exterior polishing technology of this watch.

There was a time when watches became an investment target around 2018, and of course Capek was also caught up in the world of investment targets, and the price on the second-hand market rose, making it an investment target. However, watches are a hobby filled with advanced technology and philosophy. It may be strange for a watchmaker to say this, but when I see a good watch on a train strap, I simply look at it and think, "That's good taste."

Here is a watch that really made this point: the CZAPEK Antarctic. Its combination of flat and rounded edges and radial finish on the case.

This makes the polished center links stand out and appear slightly softer in the light, creating a texture that contrasts with the angular form. This almost looks like a relief against the dull, matte outer links.

This is a testament to how perfectly Antarctic's matte finish is achieved through careful sandblasting.

The photo shows the lesser known, latest Antarctic unique adjustment function. It is built into both sides of the buckle and can be adjusted by pressing a push button. It's a simple feature, but it's convenient in the summer.
